Rainmaker U is a business development coaching program that teaches professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs how to identify and market their personal brands so they became The Person to See with their target audience.

For over a decade, Tim and his team taught Rainmaker U live, in-person in downtown Los Angeles. Over the course of ten years, Tim and his team recruited over 400 clients into the program. These clients collectively produced more than $111M in new business as a result of the strategies they learned and the business relationships they fostered with their peers in Rainmaker U

To stay on the cutting edge of business development coaching, Tim and his team decided it was time to update and digitize Rainmaker U’s content and deliver the same strategies and tools that were learned as part of the live program in the form of an online eLearning curriculum. To help members of the program stay engaged, motivated, focused and on track the program still includes live coaching with Tim. Once a month Tim host a 90 minute group coaching session via Zoom.

Instead of clients taking a full workday out of their week and coming to downtown, Los Angeles for each session four times per year, clients are now able to learn the same business development strategies and tools through Rainmaker U’s eLearning courses. With 24/7 access to Rainmaker U’s private membership site clients can study according to their own schedules.

Another big difference between the live program and the eLearning curriculum is live monthly Zoom coaching with Tim. With the live program members came to downtown Los Angeles for a full day once a quarter. In between meetings there was little interaction with Tim and his team. Even the best laid plans go awry at times. During that 90 day period in between meetings it was not uncommon for business commitments and life challenges to derail clients. As a result, they frequently came to the next meeting not having had the opportunity to fully implement what they learned in the prior session.

With Rainmaker U Digital we wanted to change this dynamic. Now, instead of members being "on their own" for 90 days Tim hosts a monthly 90 minute group coach session via Zoom to help members stay engaged, motivated, focused and on track.

There is no other program like it. Rainmaker U is both a coaching program AND networking platform. Members get access to premier business development coaching with Tim O’Brien AND the opportunity to network with other like-minded, ambitious members.

In other words, Rainmaker U not only coaches you on what you need to do to get to the next level but also through one-on-one meetings and group events throughout the year members can network and do business with other members in the community.

This is a service that is exclusive to Rainmaker U, as other programs oftentimes do not offer formal ongoing coaching, nor do they offer accessible and encouraged networking.

Each year a new set of courses are released quarterly so that members are continuously exposed to the most cutting-edge business development ideas and strategies that will help members take their business to the next level and further position themselves as The Person to See.

Live, monthly Zoom coaching with Tim is perhaps the biggest gamechanger between the live program Tim taught years ago, and today’s format.

When the program was taught live in downtown Los Angeles, clients would come to the Jonathan Club where they would work alongside other colleagues for a full day. At the end of the day, everyone would go their separate ways for 90 days and work by themselves on what they learned before returning to the next class (Session B). Oftentimes, even the best-laid plans go awry. Work priorities and family responsibilities would routinely derail a client’s focus and by the time he/she came back to the second class 90 days later, he/she had not fully completed the work from the first class.

We wanted to change this dynamic. Instead of clients being left alone for 90 days, Rainmaker U now includes monthly, zoom group coaching with Tim so he can help you stay focused and on track.

For example, upon enrollment clients receive login credentials to the first online course, the Productivity Funnel. Thirty days later Tim hosts a 90-minute group coaching call with everyone in that class for purposes of highlighting the key points of the Productivity Funnel. Thirty days later Tim hosts another coaching call on the Productivity Funnel and 30 days after that, a third call on the Productivity Funnel.

By the time we release login credentials to the second online course, The Power of Personal Branding, everyone who is serious about taking their game to the next level is working the Productivity Funnel and producing consistent results.

This same format occurs in connection with the release of each course.

Rainmaker U Tips of the Day are just another tool we use to help ensure our clients do not just learn what they need to do to position themselves as The Person to See but actually implement what they have learned.

One week after a client receives his/her login credentials he/she Rainmaker U Tips of the Day will hit his/her inbox every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 12 weeks. These Tips of the Week include a brief, embedded videos that reinforce the important points of the course the client is currently working through.

For example, one week after a client receives his/her login credentials to the Productivity Funnel he/she will receive 12 weeks of emails/videos with key tips on how best to implement the Productivity Funnel. The same process is repeated for each of the courses. In total, clients receive 144 Tips of the Day during the 12-month program.

As mentioned, Rainmaker U is both a business development coaching program as well as a networking platform. Each member’s client profile is uploaded to our confidential member’s directory which all members have access to. Members are encouraged to reach out to each other directly if they want to connect.

Members also can participate in Study/Networking Groups. Chapter meetings occur once per month and are a combination of networking and an exchange of business development ideas, best practices, and challenges. These meetings are always on the same day and time each month (e.g., The first Friday of the month from 7:30 – 9:00 am). At the conclusion of these meetings, members are paired up for purposes of networking and learning more about each other and their businesses.

Members are also paired up with one another for purposes of on-on-one networking. Our proprietary Networking Scorecard system helps ensure that meetings are efficient and productive.

Throughout the year we also host group events so that the entire community can get together, build relationships and network with one another.

To create a community of successful professionals who have the experience and capability to refer one another business we have established a minimum $250,000/year income threshold. The application process does offer the option for someone seeking to join our community who does not meet the income threshold to make the case that his/her circumstances are such that the $250,000 minimum should be waived. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

People who genuinely want to learn new ideas and strategies and people who are givers--people eager to help others achieve their goals.

Takers and know-it-alls. If your intent is to just join the program to see how much business you can generate from other members, Rainmaker U is not the right community for you.

If we meet our stated our mission which is to make Rainmaker U the #1 business development community in the country, you should remain a member of our community indefinitely.
